Sacramento newcomers
This weekend I ventured out to Midtown’s Farmer’s Market for the second time this month.
As newbie in town, it’s a great place to experience Sacramento’s fork-to-table culture first hand. If you make it out, I recommend stopping for a coffee at Old Soul, on Liestal Alley.
At the farmer’s market stop at the Shrooms 2 Grow for fresh seasonal mushrooms. Though I recommend showing up early to get a first pick of their mushroom selection. After speaking with the vendors, I discovered they do tend to sell out of their most popular shroom picks, like lions mane.
After you’ve shopped for your seasonal produce, head over to the flower stand for some eucalyptus to add in your shower. I’ve recently read the plant releases oils while you shower that are beneficial and can enhance your shower experience.
If you try any of my farmer’s market recommendations or discover a vendor worth checking out, send me a note!
