Things to do in Sacramento this weekend: Lots of wine, animals, a 5K and Disney on Ice
This week, Sacramento has given us all a taste of fall — or an early winter —with temperatures dipping into the 30s overnight.
Though the forecast does predict some rain this weekend, there are activities throughout the Sacramento region that don’t require you to be outdoors. For those that don’t mind a little bit of water — there are some outdoor fairs scheduled for the weekend.
Here are weekend events in Sacramento for Nov. 3 through Nov. 6:

Sacramento Newbie
This past weekend I discovered a gem in Sacramento.
Bordering Southside Park, is Osaka Ya — a Japanese dessert store. You’ll find an assortment of mochi desserts, snacks like spam masubi and packaged udon noodles.
I was there specifically for its Hawaiian shaved ice, and let me tell you it did not disappoint. I spoke to a worker and it turns out they stop selling the shaved ice over winter, but bring it back in April.
Thankfully for me I made it a day before the last day of its ice sales. I recommend checking them out. Pro-tip: if you make it out next year for the Hawaiian Shaved ice season add condensed milk!
