This weekend we say goodbye to 2022 and ring in the new year.

There is lot’s happening around the city from concerts to comedy shows. Although weather forecasters are predicting a stormy New Years Eve with possibilities of flooding in Sacramento and whiteout conditions in Tahoe — New Years Eve activities can still be celebrated indoors.

Here’s what’s happening Friday through Monday in Sacramento.

Arts and crafts

When: 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday

Where: 1020 Front St., Sacramento

Atrium 916 in Old Town Sacramento prides itself in being a sustainable brick and mortar in California. It is hosting an installment of arts and crafts events open to adults and kids. You can have the option to paint a canvas or sculpt a piece of clay. Tickets range from $15 to $20 depending on the activity to you choose.

Mother Hips at Harlow’s

When: 8 p.m. Friday

Where: 2708 J St., Sacramento

San Francisco based rock band, Mother Hips is performing at Harlow’s this Friday. The band has a new album dropping Jan. 27, called ‘When we disappear’. If you’re interested in attending the live show, doors will open at 8 p.m. and tickets are $28.

Sacramento’s last laugh

When: 6:30 p.m. Saturday
Where: 2100 Arden Way, Sacramento


Ring in the new year with a good laugh at Punch Line Sacramento. The night will be stacked with stand-up comedians: Carlos Rodriguez, Jimmy Earll, Ta Vi, Saul Trujlllo, Alfonso Portela, Liz Grant and Anthony K taking the stage. Tickets to the show range from $23 to $33 and doors open at 6:30 p.m. The event is for people 18 and over.

Frozen New Years Eve at noon

When: 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday
Where: 3200 Freedom Park Drive, North Highlands


If you’re looking to celebrate New Years earlier in the day with family and kids, then a Frozen Celebration at the Aerospace Museum of California is for you. Elsa and Anne will make an appearance to sing and tell stories. Then Amelia Bearhart will host “frozen” themed STEM activities like marshmallow igloos and snow slime. There will even be a countdown for the kids at noon. Tickets to the event range from $10 to $15.

Gatsby house NYE

When: 9 p.m. Saturday

Where: 1230 J St., Sacramento

Ring in the New Year at a Gatsby inspired party. There will be a live D.J., drinks, appetizers and games just to name a few of the activities for the night. Tickets for the event start at $129.

Watch the Pasadena Rose Parade

When: 8 a.m. Monday
Where: local television


Tune in to watch the annual Pasadena Rose Parade. This year the event will be hosted on the 2nd of January, which is different from past years. If you’re looking to stay indoors and not deal with the rain, this is a good option.
