Grammy-Award winning singer-songwriter and actress Ashanti lit up the Golden 1 Stage Wednesday night at Cal Expo during the California State Fair.

Her microphone was studded with bling and she wore Daisy Dukes and thigh-high boots while performing, pretending to give one fan a lap dance.

Ashanti spent time in Sacramento earlier this year, playing a role in the movie “No Address,” a film about homelessness in the United States. The film also stars William Baldwin and Xander Berkeley.

The concert series continues with Gin Blossoms on Friday and Kool & The Gang on Saturday night. Country music singer Trace Adkins takes the stage Sunday, the fair’s final night.
