Breakaway Music Festival announces Sacramento concert dates planned this fall

Sacramento lands another music festival, this one happening in the fall.

The Breakaway Music Festival will bring its multi-state tour to Sacramento for the first time on Oct. 11 and 12, organizers announced Tuesday via social media.

“Breakaway NorCal is officially locked in October 11-12, taking over Sacramento for an unforgettable weekend. We can’t wait to take over the West Coast,” organizers posted on the event’s Instagram accounts.

Tickets are now available, with general admission starting at $69, according to the festival’s website. Shuttle service begins at $39. Travel packages start at $150 and include two-day general admission or VIP tickets, hotel accommodations for two or three nights, and a merchandise bundle.

The touring festival includes stops in Ohio, Minnesota, Michigan, Massachusetts, Philadelphia, North Carolina and Alabama. Artists on those lineups include Dom Dolla, Kaytranada, Tiesto, Zedd, The Chainsmokers, and DJ Diesel, also known as Shaquille O’Neal, a volunteer general manager for Sacramento State.

Organizers have not yet disclosed the Sacramento venue or artist lineup but said the full lineup would be announced “soon.”

Breakaway joins a growing list of major music festivals in the region, including Aftershock, Sol Blume, and the GoldenSky Festival, which was postponed to 2026.

It joins AfterShock, one of the largest rock and metal concerts in the nation; Sol Blume, a blossoming R&B concert that’s expected to return in August; and GoldenSky Festival, one of the largest country festivals, which was postponed this year and pushed to 2026.
