Video diaries: Sacramento gets silly, celebrates toilet paper amid quarantine life

We’re shaving our heads and celebrating toilet paper deliveries. It’s the little things. The coronavirus pandemic has upended daily life in Sacramento and around the world. Our readers shared videos with us showing how things have changed; get ready for dinosaurs to once again roam the earth

Debra Mendelsohn spotted a neighbor wearing a dinosaur costume who was out walking a dog. Chelsea Brumfield spotted the same thing as Sacramentans look for ways to break up the tedium of daily self-quarantine life.

Technology helps. We’re turning to video conferencing and video games for entertainment. In our spare time, we’re streaming from Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu and any number of video services.

Nicholas Birtcil has another suggestion: Pick up a newspaper. Birtcil says he’s been in quarantine for 12 days since leaving a hospital after a bout with COVID-19.
