Sweet Black Cat Meets an Injured Dog, and Their Interaction Is Too Adorable
Despite their obvious differences, it's well known that dogs and cats don't have to be enemies. While there are a few sibling squabbles, it's very easy for cats and dogs to get along. This is especially true when both furry friends have a lot of empathy for each other.
In a chance encounter, Uno, the one-eared black cat, met with an injured pup, and the meeting was as sweet as one can imagine. With just one ear, Uno is probably used to being the only non-traditional pet around, but his adorable interaction with Frankie proves they're just two lovely furry friends.

Although they're both dealing with their own challenges, both curious pets couldn't help but get to know their new friends. For his part, Frankie is dealing with two broken legs from jumping out of a window. Uno, with only one ear, can relate to feeling just a little different.
Sniffing each other, both pets let the other examine them with patience and calmness, a rarity between dogs and cats. The interaction is just another proof that, despite being different species, it's not impossible to feel empathy for another.
"I love how well-mannered both are being. The dog is intentionally staying very calm and not excitable so as not to spook Uno. And Uno is letting him sniff while staying mostly still to be reassuring to Frankie. They are so sweet together. It's so nice to see a cat and dog interacting outside so beautifully!" summarized one commenter.
"You can also see that the animals are most likely happy because the dog is wagging its tail and the cat has it upward moving slowly :)," added another viewer.
Others in the comment section couldn't help but send their well-wishes to Frankie during his recovery.
"Frankie's such a sweet baby. May he heal quickly," commented one user. Another added, "Poor Frankie. I pray he has a speedy recovery."

Can Cats and Dogs Truly Get Along?
Despite all of the childhood cartoons, cats and dogs can easily get along. While it might seem like a daunting challenge to get them on the same page, having cats and dogs under the same roof can help the pets feel less lonely.
Before rounding out your crew with a cat or dog, try inviting a furry friend to your home to meet your existing pet. This will give pet owners an idea of how they interact with another pet.
When preparing your cat or dog for a new arrival, you'll want to double down on a few training tips to hasten the adjustment period. Dogs should be reminded of commands such as "Leave it" or "Come." Because dogs can be very curious and eager pets, it's important to remind them that cats need their space to decompress.
On the other hand, cats should have their nails trimmed before a new dog arrives. This is to prevent any scratching or injury. Litter boxes should also be moved to a more isolated location where dogs cannot get in, giving kittens their space.
With just a few lifestyle changes and training sessions, cats and dogs can easily become the best of friends.
