Capital City Bonsai show and sale

Where: Shepard Garden and Arts Center, 3330 McKinley Blvd., Sacramento

When: 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday; 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 21-22

All four of Sacramento’s bonsai clubs participate in this combined show featuring dozens of little trees in pots. This special fall show highlights bonsai with fall foliage or fruit. Demonstrations will be held each day.

Woodland Community College plant sale

This popular sale features winter vegetables, low-water perennials, annuals, ornamentals, house plants and more. Cash or check only. In addition, Yolo County master gardeners will offer free workshops each day.
