Rose lovers from throughout Northern California flock to this event. See and smell more than 500 rare rose varieties in the cemetery’s famed gardens. Take guided tours of the perennial and native plant gardens, too. Shop the Heritage Rose group’s annual plant sale featuring unusual roses propagated from the cemetery’s collection.

This family event spotlights California natives growing in their natural habitat along the American River Parkway. A huge plant sale includes natives grown by the California Native Plant Society’s Elderberry Farms plus Cornflower Farms and Hedgerow Farms. Learn about butterflies, birds and bees, too.
