Everything must go! In preparation of demolition of its City Hall campus, Citrus Heights is offering plants, pottery, fountains, benches and other items for sale at extreme bargain prices. The catch? Buyers must pay cash and remove their purchases by 5 p.m. That includes digging up mature rosebushes ($5 each), shrubs ($10) and trees ($20).
California State Fair

Annual bearded iris sale

Find scores of unusual and drought-tolerant bearded irises at this sale, hosted by the Sacramento Iris Society. Plants are sold as bare-root rhizomes, ready to plant now. Get advice on growing irises, too.
