Here’s another little change of behavior that can make water saving a new habit. When shaving, plug the sink and use water in the basin to rinse your razor instead of allowing the tap to run. For guys who shave almost daily, that small change can save up to 300 gallons a month, according to the state Department of Water Resources. That adds up to 3,600 gallons a year.
