Author Ann Ralph shares her secrets to how to grow fruit even in the smallest garden. She’ll explain how to keep trees small while still getting a good harvest of full-size fruit. She’ll also cover selection of varieties, pruning and pest prevention.

Presented by the Sacramento Tree Foundation, this workshop focuses on how to prune young trees – ages 2 to 8 years – to develop the best structure and form. Weather permitting, this workshop includes a walk around the library grounds to look at trees and their structure.

The City Cemetery’s Heritage Rose Group, caretakers of the site’s renowned old garden roses, tackles three more categories of roses found in its garden: hybrid teas, hybrid perpetuals and floribundas.
