SPCA pets of the week
The is a mother and son team we’d love to see adopted together. Squirrel Monkey Mouse (nicknamed “Monkey”) is a 10-year-old female tabby that has quite a story. She and her son Shadow, an 8-year-old gray domestic short hair male, were brought to the Sacramento SPCA by a veteran who moved into assisted living and was unable to take them with him. They were both loved very much.
Monkey is an avid bird watcher and loves toys. She likes being groomed and a good head scratch, too. Shadow’s favorite things are soft toys and a scratching post. They make the perfect pair.
Since they are both over a year old, we will waive the adoption fee to any adopter who is 65 years old or over. Normal adoption fee for adult cats is $45. For more information: www.sspca.org.
