Beat the heat and cool off for free this week at these Sacramento city pools

As the Sacramento area gets ready to enter into triple-digit temperatures this week, the city is offering free admission to some of the city’s public pools.

Over the weekend, the office of Mayor Kevin McCarty and the Department of Youth, Parks, & Community Enrichment announced free admission to eight city pools throughout the week on a rotating schedule.

The Free Family Nights at the Pool begin today, Monday Jul. 13, and extend until Friday, Jul. 17. The pools involved in the event will be open from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.

The participating pools and the dates they will offer free admission are:

The City of Sacramento operates 12 neighborhood pools, 4 wading pools, and the North Natomas Aquatics Complex. More information on the amenities of each can be found on the City of Sacramento website.
