Downtown Sacramento hotel's pool bar opening to general public this summer
The downtown Hyatt's pool bar is opening to the general public on Sundays for the first time in its 30-year history, the hotel announced Wednesday morning.
Non-hotel guests ages 18 or older who purchase tickets will be allowed into UNWIND, the Hyatt Regency Sacramento's aquatic alcohol venue at 1209 L St., from 11 a.m. through 4 p.m. from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Those under the legal drinking age can still cool off and enjoy poolside dishes prepared by Hyatt chef Michael Grande.
"UNWIND bills itself as an alternative to the cheesy Vegas-style pool party scene," local Hyatt director of sales Brenda Kirian wrote in a statement. "It’s a great chance for Sacramento residents who don’t own a pool to cool down during the hotel summer on Sunday afternoons."
Admission is $25 per person or $20 in advance on UNWIND's Eventbrite page. Parking is validated up to three hours inside the Hyatt Regency's garage on 12th Street. Three-hour valet parking is also available for $5.
