Downtown Sacramento nightclub The Park Ultra Lounge closes over coronavirus concerns
Another downtown Sacramento nightclub has temporarily closed as local restaurants and bars try to stop the spread of novel coronavirus and its associated disease, COVID-19.
The Park Ultra Lounge will remain closed until at least April 3, according to a social media post Friday. Owners Mason, Alan and Curtis Wong said they were adhering to Gov. Gavin Newsom’s advice to cancel all gatherings of 250 people or more and to stand at least six feet apart.
“Following the advice of Governor Newsom, as well as the guidelines for local, national and international authorities, The Park Ultra Lounge will be temporarily pausing operations until April 3rd,” the post read. “The well-being, health and safety of our staff and guests remains our utmost priority, and we will be monitoring the situation closely to determine when our programming will resume.”
The Park Ultra Lounge is connected to Cafeteria 15L, another Wong brothers property, at 1116 15th St. It’s the second downtown Sacramento nightclub to shut down over coronavirus concerns after the five-month-old London closed indefinitely Thursday.
