Sacramento-area bars and restaurants saw a major dip in foot traffic in January, according to points of interest data.

In the last COVID-19 year, restaurant and bar foot traffic began to recover from a 2020 of shutdowns and restrictions. As vaccines became more widely available and the delta variant surge subsided in late 2021, more people began visiting Sacramento-area establishments.
