Cheesecake is a dessert made with sugar, eggs and cream cheese — and Bee readers agree there’s one restaurant that makes the best slice in Sacramento.
For the last two weeks, The Sacramento Bee asked readers to vote their favorite Sacramento (in the city) eatery for cheesecake. More than 300 votes were cast.
In order of most votes received, Bee readers say these are the best places for cheesecake in the city of Sacramento.
The Cheesecake Factory
Location: 1771 Arden Way
The Cheesecake Factory is a chain restaurant with more than 10 sections to its menu, including cheesecake and desserts.
It’s extensive cheesecake list includes pineapple upside down cheesecake, chocolate caramelicious cheesecake made with snickers and caramel apple cheesecake.
It gained 85 votes or 28%.
Freeport Bakery
Location: 2966 Freeport Blvd.
Freeport Bakery is a family-owned business that’s been operating in Sacramento since 1987, the bakery wrote on its website. Its cheesecake options include New York cheesecake and a cheesecake sampler.
It gained 47 votes or 16%.
Ettore’s Bakery & Cafe
Location: 2376 Fair Oaks Blvd.
Ettore’s Bakery & Cafe’s cakes list is extensive, but according to its website, the bakery makes one flavor of cheesecake: raspberry white chocolate cheesecake.
