Benjy Egel, The Sacramento Bee’s food and drink reporter, will be one of the featured guests for the Crocker Art Museum’s live discussion on the Sacramento restaurant scene on Sept. 15.

According to the museum, the virtual discussion was inspired by Sacramento’s Farm-to-Fork festival.

The event — titled “A Critic and a Chef” — will feature Egel and local chef Takumi Abe of Kodaiko Ramen and Bar.

According to the museum, they will discuss “how food journalists and chefs ‘paint’ portraits of a city’s culture through reviews, food stories, and delicious dishes.”
