If you’re itching to experience Sacramento’s newest Michelin-star restaurant Localis in midtown, we don’t blame you, just be prepared for the cost.

Localis’ friendly, fine menu tasting at 2031 S St. costs between $155 and $197 per person depending on the number of courses you reserve — then add more for the drink pairing, tip, tax and fees . Reservations are prepaid and non-refundable, meaning you must pay in advance to book a spot and you won’t get your money back.

Here’s a look at Localis’ menu, plus how to make a reservation online and what you should expect to pay:

What’s on Localis menu?

Localis’ menu changes with the season and is dependent on what the “region’s farmers are producing each day.”

“While most ingredients we include in our dishes are sourced locally,” Localis wrote on its website, “mangoes from Belize in June are the best and there is no better scallop that the one from Nantucket in November.”

Chefs select a wine paring to complement each dish throughout the seven or 12-course tasting menu. Cocktails, beers and non-alcoholic drinks are also available.

Those who can snag a reservation between Wednesday and Saturday should expect a tasting menu filled with apples, pears, radishes and crab.

How to make a reservation at Localis

Reservations are booked exclusively online and new dates and times are posted every 60 days. You can also choose to be wait-listed and will be contacted once a reservation is available.

Availability is dependent on the type of course you book, where you sit, plus the number of people in your party.

Once you select your course, you’ll be prompted to add beverage parings between $65 to $137 each. A 20% service charge, plus taxes and fees will be added to your bill.

For example, a couple could spend close to $900 for a 12-course tasting menu with two alcoholic beverage pairings.
