Birria taco shop set to open in former Vechos Eatery building in Arden Arcade

A Mexican restaurant replacing Vechos Eatery in Arden Arcade plans to open for its soft launch this week, according to social media posts.

LA Bangin’ Tacos announced its opening on social media over the weekend, set to launch at 1600 Fulton Ave. in Arden Arcade.

Owner Nadia Daoud runs Latin American food trucks throughout the Sacramento area, as well as a restaurant on the UC Davis campus. According to the restaurant’s Instagram, LA Bangin’ Tacos will specialize in birria-style street tacos with other offerings as well.

It’s unclear what the restaurant’s full menu will consist of, but its sister businesses — Bangin’ Bowls and Bangin’ Churro Bar — serve savory bowls with various proteins on a base of french fries as well as sweet, loaded churro sundaes.

LA Bangin’ Tacos’ soft opening is Thursday from 11 a.m.-7 p.m., according to an Instagram announcement.

Former tenant Vechos Eatery vacated the unit in October, with owner Kevin Ramos saying it was “time to do something different,” according to previous Bee reporting.
