Sean Timberlake has a self-described “mental database” of Sacramento’s food scene.

As The Bee’s new(ish) food and drink reporter, he’s covered everything from openings and closings, to building a comprehensive local pizza style guide, to allegations against Michelin-starred chef Chris Barnum-Dann.

Timberlake has also revamped The Bee’s Food & Drink newsletter, which now hits your inboxes every Wednesday and Friday afternoon. Friday’s version lets you join him as he samples Sacramento’s food scene with its Bee Appetit feature.

What has it been like covering Sacramento’s vibrant food scene so far? Are there exclusive stories he is looking forward to covering? And what makes Sacramento’s food scene so unique?

Tune in to a virtual live Zoom webinar on Thursday, April 30 at 6 p.m. to hear Timberlake talk about all things food and more. You can ask him questions or submit some in advance to The Bee’s Lauren Chapman at lchapman@sacbee.com, who will moderate the event.

We’ll aim to keep the free event to around 30 minutes. The event will be recorded and the video will be posted to the website afterwards.

RSVP here. We’ll send you a Zoom link on the day of the event. Be sure to join us sharply at 6 p.m.

We hope to see you on April 30. Here’s the link to RSVP again - and don’t forget the event is free!
