Wings, acai and curry pizza: These 17 restaurants opened in the Sacramento area in November
The year’s penultimate month brought a wave of new beginnings for restaurants around the Sacramento area, with openings in Yolo, Placer, Sacramento and El Dorado counties.
A majority of the openings were new locations for restaurants with an existing footprint in the region or Northern California, though more than a half-dozen fresh concepts emerged as well.
Additions to the brand
▪ Curry Pizza House (3984 Douglas Blvd. #140, Roseville): This Bay Area-based fusion chain making its regional debut has traditional Indian dishes, classic pizzas and a combination of the two — think chili paneer pizza or achari chicken pizza.
▪ Dos Coyotes Border Cafe (1200 Athens Ave., Lincoln): Bobby Coyote opened his first Southwestern restaurant in Davis in 1990; he now has 10 locations throughout Northern California, including this one in Thunder Valley Casino Resort.
▪ El Favorito Taqueria (2215 Francisco Dr., El Dorado Hills): This casual Mexican restaurant with a wide-reaching menu, including seven breakfast items, also has locations in Sacramento, Rancho Cordova and Grass Valley.
