Taco Bell Cantina to open in downtown Sacramento this week

Taco Bell Cantina will open this week at 900 K St. in downtown Sacramento, a company spokesperson confirmed via email.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Sacramento will host a fundraiser at the Cantina from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesday before the restaurant and bar’s grand opening Wednesday.

Taco Bell Cantinas serve exclusive tapas-style small plates not found at the Irvine-based chain’s other locations in addition to the widespread menu.

The real draw, though, is the bar. Taco Bell Cantinas sell beer, wine and sangria.

This’ll be the seventh Taco Bell Cantina in California, four of which are in the Bay Area. Taco Bell announced plans in August to develop 300 more Cantinas and Urban Inline (expanded menu, no alcohol) locations worldwide by 2022.
