Southern California-based seafood chain expanding to Sacramento next month

Crab N Spice

Crab N Spice seafood restaurant will open its first Northern California location near Cosumnes River College in mid-March, franchisee David Dang confirmed in an email Wednesday.

Crab N Spice’s menu carries the typical array of fried fish and friends (tilapia, cod, calamari, shrimp, etc.) as well as half-pound bags of market price crustaceans such as king crab, mussels, lobster tail and crawfish. Seasonings such as lemon garlic and coconut are then mixed in along with spices ranging from “mild” to “assassin8.”

The rest of the restaurant’s menu includes fresh oysters, Cajun-style pasta and bread bowls of clam chowder, plus lunchtime combo meals that come with macaroni salad or coleslaw. Corn, sausage, potatoes and quail eggs are available as throw-ins for the bags.

Founded by Marlon Arsenal and Jerrico Reyes in 2014, Crab N Spice has locations in Palmdale and Ventura, with more under construction in Bakersfield, Santa Clarita and Phoenix. It’ll offer beer and wine at the Sacramento location, 7411 W. Stockton Blvd. #150.

Crab N Spice is seeking applications for cooks, prep staff, dishwashers, hosts and servers. Email cnssacramento@gmail.com to apply.
