Doughnuts, that ever-so-healthy breakfast item, are something of an equalizer, an inexpensive treat that have a certain way of warming the heart. There’s range of options for all sweet teeth within individual shops and the scene as a whole, from gluten-free options in midtown Sacramento to maple bars in Placer County strip malls.
