Roseville outpost of Sacramento-based chain restaurant quietly closes its doors

A Sacramento chain’s Roseville franchise quietly shut down after eight years in operation.

Pete’s Restaurant & Brewhouse, at 3003 Douglas Blvd. and East Roseville Parkway, closed recently, The Sacramento Business Journal first reported.

On Google Maps, the Douglas Boulevard restaurant was listed as “permanently closed” on Thursday and calls to the phone number listed on its website did not go through.

According to its Facebook, Pete’s Restaurant’s Roseville franchise opened in 2017 in the former Piatti Roseville restaurant. Its laidback American menu included sandwiches, soups, pizzas, flatbreads, burgers and small shareable plates alongside four house-craft beers.

The regional restaurant chain launched in 1987 on J Street in Sacramento, according to its website. It eventually franchised restaurants in the area’s suburbs and as far north as Redding.

After the Roseville shutdown, Pete’s Restaurant has five remaining locations around Northern California, in Arden Arcade, El Dorado Hills, Rocklin, Yuba City and Redding.
