Natomas will be getting its first Costco, the 10th location for the discount retail warehouse in greater Sacramento region.

The new store was disclosed in a social-media post by Sacramento City Councilwoman Angelique Ashby, who represents the area.

The 160,000-square foot location is scheduled to open at East Commerce Way and Arena Boulevard in late 2023.

“Costco, the wholesale retailer has been working on the site for the past year and is hoping to welcome shoppers in store by the holiday season in 2023,” the vice-mayor said in her post.

Costco’s nine existing Sacramento stores are in North Sacramento, south Sacramento, Citrus Heights, Arden Arcade, Rancho Cordova, Folsom, Roseville, Woodland and Elk Grove.

Costco officials could not be reached for comment.
