Harbor Freight tools is coming to Carmichael shopping center
The automotive equipment and tool retailer, Harbor Freight, is coming to Carmichael this summer, according to the company’s website.
The store will open the first week of July, a spokesperson with Harbor Freight said. This new location will replace the Big Lots on 7241 Fair Oaks Blvd. which closed in 2023.
With the opening, Harbor Freight will be hiring 25 to 30 jobs at the store, according to Donna Walker, a company spokesperson.
Harbor Freight’s will include Smart & Final, Wells Fargo and Burger King.
Walker said the new store’s location was chosen because of the storefront’s size, approximately 30,000 square feet of space. He said the location has “good visibility, easy access, ample parking and the right square footage.”
“Many of our customers are professional trades workers who want to stop in, find what they need and then head out quickly to their job site or workshop,” Walker said. “For other customers, this size makes it easier to browse and find our great deals.”
Nationwide, Harbor Freight has more than 1,600 stores, according to its website. This location will be one of the eight stores throughout Sacramento County. Others are located at:
