December may have been cool for number of homes sold in the region, but prices are still rising. The median resale home price in Sacramento County increased 10.5 percent compared to 2016.
Rocklin’s 95677 ZIP code had the largest year-over-year increase in median sales price for ZIP codes in the region that had more than 10 home sales. The median sales price in that area rose to $540,000 in 2017, an increase of 50 percent from $361,000 in December 2016.
Sacramento County’s largest median home price increase occurred in 95822. In December 2016, the median-priced home in the area cost $227,000. One year later, the median price in the area – which includes South Land Park and Hollywood Park – was up 30.3 percent to $295,750.
Roseville’s 95747 ZIP code led the region in home sales with 104 in December (it has 102 in November). The median home price there was up 5 percent over the previous year. Other active ZIP codes included Lincoln, with 72 home sales, and Folsom, with 68.
