Developer plans five-story mixed-use apartment building on Broadway in Sacramento
Developers have filed plans with the city to tear down a Subway restaurant on Broadway and build a five-story, mixed-use apartment and office building.
Folsom-based Morton & Pitalo submitted planning documents this week to redevelop 2701 Broadway in Curtis Park. The planned building would have commercial space on the ground floor, with 31 apartment units on the upper four floors.
Design renderings from Baran Studio Architecture show a modern exterior, including enclosed balconies for some of the apartment wings.
The unnamed project is one of the latest to emerge as the city and developers work to transform more of Broadway into apartments.
Another developer, EAH Housing, in May 2020 filed plans to turn the northeast lot at Broadway and 19th Street into a six-story mixed-use building with 150 apartment units.
There are also plans to turn the former site of Tower Records and Dimple Records at 16th and Broadway into a multi-story, mixed-use location, as the Sacramento Business Journal first reported in spring 2020.
