Woman runs over and kills the man who shot her family member, California police say
Police arrested a California woman on Christmas Day on suspicion of murder after she ran over and killed the man who shot her relative, authorities say.
Sabrina Marie Gutierrez, 22, from San Jose, California, is accused of driving her car onto the sidewalk and then running over the man who allegedly shot her family member, whose name has not been released. Gutierrez then fled in her car, according to a San Jose Police Department press release.
The man whom Gutierrez hit with her car is accused of getting into an argument with and shooting her male relative with a handgun, cops said. The man then fled while another family member drove Gutierrez’s relative to the hospital, where his injuries were treated and determined to be non-life threatening, according to police.
Police found the shooting suspect when they were responding to a silent burglary alarm. He was taken to the hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
Gutierrez was booked into Santa Clara County Jail for murder and is being held without bail at Elmwood Complex Women’s Facility in Milpitas, according to inmate records.
