Wounded owner crawls from L.A. store, collapses after killing gunman, video shows

A video shows a shop owner shot in the legs in a gunfight with a robber painfully crawling out the front doors of his Los Angeles-area liquor store, calling out for help before he collapses to the sidewalk, KTLA reports.

Sheriff’s officials say the suspected robber died in the shootout inside the Santa Clarita store around 8:20 p.m. Sunday, KTTV reported.

The store owner has been hospitalized with “non-life threatening injuries,” KCBS reported.

The gunman had apparently entered the store in the 19900 block of Golden Valley Road and tried to rob it, according to KTLA.

An investigation into the shootout is ongoing, KABC reported.
