Player wins ‘incredible’ $600,000 slot machine jackpot at Sacramento-area casino

A gambler at Thunder Valley Casino Resort in Lincoln near Sacramento won a six-figure jackpot on a “Monopoly” slot machine, casino officials reported.

The out-of-state visitor won $604,597 on a single spin Monday, July 13, the casino said in a news release.

“Talk about a life-changing jackpot,” said Dawn Clayton, general manager of Thunder Valley Casino Resort. “Winning more than $600,000 on a single spin is an incredible moment for any guest. We are thrilled one of our out-of-state visitors experienced it at Thunder Valley and hope they enjoy every minute of their unforgettable win.”

Thunder Valley has paid out more than 251,000 jackpots over the past year, averaging nearly 700 jackpots per day, or roughly one every two minutes.

Thunder Valley Casino Resort at 1200 Athens Ave. in Lincoln has 3,500 slot machines and 89 table games. It is about 35 miles northeast of Sacramento.
