The fire is burning at Marysville Road about one mile west of New Bullards Bar Reservoir in Dobbins — roughly one hour and 15 minutes northeast of Sacramento. As of 3:55 p.m., the blaze had burned nearly 20 acres and was 30% contained, according to a Cal Fire Nevada Yuba Placer Unit Facebook post.

The fire began just before 11:30 a.m., per Cal Fire’s incidents page. Around noon, the Dobbins Oregon Fire Department issued the evacuation warning for the area of Bullards Bar and Oregon Hill Road, according to its Facebook page.

The blaze, which is being called the Marysville fire, has led to a closure of Old Dobbins road east of Bullards Bar Dam on Marysville road. The cause is still under investigation.
