Cal Fire plans to salute health care and emergency medical service workers, as well as firefighter and law enforcement officials, who have responded to the coronavirus pandemic by way of a flyover Thursday morning in Northern California.

At least four Cal Fire aircraft — two planes and two helicopters, will depart from McClellan Airport starting about 11 a.m.

The flight route will then proceed on the following route, with times approximate.

11:06 — flying past Sutter Roseville, after traveling east along Interstate 80

11:07 — flying past Kaiser Roseville

11:16 — flying past UC Davis Medical Center in Sacramento

11:17 — flying past Sutter Medical Center in Sacramento

11:18 — flying past the state Capitol

11:20 — flying over Tower Bridge and over the California Highway Patrol Academy in West Sacramento

11:21 — flying past Cal Fire’s business services office building

11:30 — returning to McClellan

Similar flyovers have been organized and flown over Sacramento’s downtown skyline in recent weeks, including planes from the 9th Reconaissance Wing of Beale Air Force Base.
