What to bring

Bring any form of identification with your date of birth. Face coverings must be worn at all testing sites and you must maintain physical distance.

Testing is available regardless of U.S. citizenship, according to the official Sacramento County website.

What to do while you wait for your results

  • If you have had close contact with someone who tested positive for COVID-19, stay home and away from others. Check yourself for COVID-19 symptoms for 14 days from the last day you were in close contact with the person.

  • If you have COVID-19 symptoms, self isolate. You can stop self isolating when you haven’t had a fever in three days without using a fever-reducing medication, your symptoms improved and it’s been at least 10 days since your symptoms first appeared.

Latest COVID-19 numbers

Across the state, 73% of people are fully vaccinated and about 2.6 million boosters have been administered, according to the official California COVID-19 website.

About 58% of Sacramento County is fully vaccinated, which means an individual is at least two weeks past their second dose of a two-dose vaccine.

But the county is still seeing cases.

According to the Sacramento County Public Health, Sacramento recorded 157,615 cases and 2,333 deaths since the pandemic began. On Oct. 28, the case rate — or the seven-day average divided by population per 100,000 people — was 15.7.
