An opportunity to learn more about financial literacy and building wealth is coming to the Dr. Ephraim Williams Life Center, located at 14th Avenue, on Friday and Saturday.

The Anchor Financial Academy is hosting a two-day event to provide step-by-step instructions on building wealth, clearing debt, restoring credit, home ownership, and an introduction to investing, which includes cryptocurrency.

For some people in debt, looking for a way out, they often don’t have the resources or the knowledge provided for them.

Attendees will have the chance to learn about real estate and how to use property to invest creating rental income from successful individuals from Sacramento.

“It’s no secret that institutional racism, government policies, blockbusting, redlining and white flight just to name a few have all contributed to preventing Black (people) from entering into homeownership at the same pace,” said event founder Keisha Mathews. “Simultaneously preventing us from having the opportunity to build generational wealth through homeownership.”

The event provides the experience of hearing forward-thinking keynote speakers and networking with like-minded attendees.

Al Williamson will be a guest speaker on March 25, from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The following day, March 26, they will have Chistopher Senegal, a real estate entrepreneur from Houston, Texas, from 7:30 a.m to 2 p.m.

Attendees will also receive a free copy of “Say Yes to No Debt: 12 Steps to Financial Freedom” , a book by DeForest B. Soaries Jr., as he shares, what he believes are, the four vital keys to living debt free.

In partnership with the Sacramento Realtist Association, the Anchor Financial Academy aims to prepare residents with a game plan to alleviate some of their financial struggles and take the next step toward financial independence.

In-person attendance is limited to 60 people. Registration is available at www.myanchoronline.com.
