A dry pitch tonight: The weekend looks mixed when it comes to weather. There’s a good chance of showers on Saturday in Sacramento. But Sunday looks dry with abnormally warm temperatures. Weather conditions should be fine for the Republic FC soccer game tonight. The National Weather Service does not expect rain until after 11 p.m.
Garden Day: Sacramento Food Bank and Family Services will host its third annual Garden Day from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. today at 3333 Third Ave. Local organizations and businesses involved in urban gardening, ecological landscaping, healthy eating, composting and more will be on hand. Visitors can tour the demonstration garden and watch a cooking or gardening demonstration at the free event.

Golf fest: The 40th annual Haggin Oaks Golf Expo starts a three-day run today at the golf complex, 3645 Fulton Ave. Known as “America’s Largest Demo Days,” the event allows golfers to test new equipment and accessories, launch monitors and tour tech vans. Attendees can also trade in old clubs and shop in the complex’s golf shop at the event, which runs from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day.
