2 injured, hospitalized after south Sacramento house fire, Fire Department says

Two people were injured in a south Sacramento house fire early Wednesday morning, authorities said.

A one-story residential board and care home on the 7800 block of 38th Avenue caught fire shortly before 4 a.m., the Sacramento Fire Department said in a tweet.

Two people were transported to the hospital with injuries, the Fire Department said. The extent of their injuries and their status were not known.

The fire remains under investigation, fire officials say.
