One adult was hospitalized Friday morning after a fuel truck crashed with an Elk Grove Unified School District bus in rural south Sacramento, authorities said.

The crash involving the fuel truck and the school bus was reported shortly before 8:30 a.m. at Rogers and Bradshaw roads, according to the California Highway Patrol activity log online. The CHP reported the crash resulted in minor injuries.

The crash occurred over railroad tracks near the intersection in the Vineyard neighborhood. The Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District said one adult was taken to a hospital for treatment. No other injuries had been reported. It was unclear whether there were any students on the bus when the crash occurred.

One of the northbound lanes on Bradshaw was blocked as authorities waited for a tow truck to remove the school bus from the scene, the CHP reported.
