Sacramento mobile food pantry gives free food to all. Here’s where to find it

The Sacramento City Unified School District is providing free grocery goods and fresh produce to everyone in the community all summer, according to the district’s news release.

On a first-come, first-served basis, you can grab a grocery box at a mobile food pantry site, Monday through Friday. You don’t need to be enrolled in the district.

The program is a partnership between the district, No Kid Hungry and the Sacramento Food Bank & Family Services. Residents can also get assistance with CalFresh enrollment at the sites.

Where is the mobile food pantry?

The food pantry, Central Kitchen, is available at different locations each day, and is open from 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. It is a curbside program, so you can grab your items and go.

Mondays: West Campus 5022 58th St., Sacramento

Tuesdays: Father Keith B Kenny 3525 MLK Blvd., Sacramento

Wednesdays: AM Winn 3350 Explorer Drive, Sacramento

Thursdays: Rosa Parks K-8 68th Avenue, Sacramento

Fridays: Serna Center 5735 47th Ave., Sacramento

When does the program end?

The program will end on August 12.

However, there are other local food banks that can provide further assistance. You can find a facility nearest to you using the map provided by the Sacramento Food Bank and Family Services
