Overnight collision leaves two dead and two injured near American River Parkway
An early-morning collision involving two vehicles left two people dead and two others injured Sunday in Sacramento, authorities said.
Officers responded about 12:48 a.m., to a report of a two-vehicle collision in the area of Garden Highway and Northgate Boulevard, the Sacramento Police Department said in a release.
According to the department, fire crews arrived and later declared a man and a woman in one of the vehicles deceased at the scene. Two people in the second vehicle were taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The department said that its detectives are still investigating what led to the crash.
