One person suffered minor injuries after a crash involving an ambulance and one other vehicle early Thursday morning in Sacramento’s Central Oak Park neighborhood, authorities said.

A car collided with an ambulance shortly before 2 a.m. near 12th Avenue and Martin Luther King Jr Boulevard, Sacramento Fire Department spokesman Capt. Keith Wade said.

The driver of the car was transported with minor injuries, Wade said. No one was hurt riding in the ambulance, which ended up lying on its passenger side.

It is the second crash involving an ambulance within city limits in the past two weeks.

Two people were hurt Aug. 12 when an ambulance crashed on Auburn Boulevard in the Del Paso Park, according to the Sacramento Police Department. The injuries were not life-threatening.
