Roseville police motorcycle officer injured in crash with vehicle on Foothills Boulevard

Authorities on Wednesday closed a stretch of road in Roseville for several hours after a police motorcycle officer was injured in a crash with another vehicle.

The Roseville police motorcycle officer was taken by ambulance to a hospital after suffering non-life-threatening injuries, the Roseville Police Department announced in social media posts.

The crash occurred shortly before 9 a.m. Wednesday on Foothills Boulevard, between Junction Boulevard and McAnally Drive. The Police Department had not released any details about the crash.

Police said no other injuries were reported in the crash. Authorities closed the northbound lanes of Foothills Boulevard, between Junction and McAnally.

Investigating officers were expected to remain at the site of the crash for the next several hours, the Police Department announced shortly before noon Wednesday. Police urged residents to avoid the area.
