Man killed in motorcycle crash in Sacramento’s Hagginwood neighborhood, police say

Roadway fatality

A man died Monday evening in a crash between a motorcycle and one other vehicle in Sacramento’s Hagginwood neighborhood, police said.

Authorities responded shortly after 7 p.m. to a collision near Marysville and Arcade boulevards, Sacramento Police Department spokeswoman Officer Krista Koppinger said.

A man found with serious injuries was pronounced dead at the scene by Sacramento Fire Department personnel, Koppinger said. The driver of the other vehicle remained at the scene.

Detectives are investigating the fatal crash, Koppinger said, and no other details about the incident were immediately available. Marysville Boulevard was closed in the area while police investigated and reopened around midnight.

The victim was identified by the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office as Ty Parker, 42, of Sacramento.
