A 13-year-old was arrested Monday after stealing and driving a vehicle in the Arden Arcade section of Sacramento County.

The suspect, with two other juvenile suspects in the black Toyota Corolla, allegedly stole the sedan before he was chased by Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office deputies.

The pursuit began around 2:50 p.m. near Marconi Avenue and Connie Drive and lasted roughly 2 miles until it ended in the three individuals’ arrests near Raley Boulevard and Youngs Avenue in the Youngs Heights section of Sacramento, according to Sgt. Amar Gandhi, a spokesman for the Sheriff’s Office. The suspect driver crashed into several parked cars and attempted to flee on foot.

No injuries were reported, Gandhi said.

Deputies waited for the parents of the two passengers and a tow truck to arrive after the incident, Gandhi said.
