New climbing gym planned for Sacramento area. Here’s what it could bring to Roseville

What's opening in the Sacramento area

A new climbing and fitness gym will soon begin construction in Roseville.

Plans for Alpine Climbing Adventure Fitness Center were given the green light as the Roseville Planning Commission approved the project last week.

“We are super excited about the project getting approved,” said Tony Levy, General Manager at Ripon-based gym.

Designs for the Roseville location are still being finalized, but the Ripon location offers bouldering and tope rope, climbing classes, yoga, weights, cardio workouts and fitness classes for its gym members. There is 16,500 square feet of climbing at the gym, according to the website.

The new facility is expected to be approximately two times the size of the original facility, Levy said.

Where?: Freedom Point Plaza, which has restaurants, a home furniture store, a Marriott hotel and Topgolf.

Address: 1730 Freedom Way, Roseville

Alpine opened in Modesto in April 2021, The Modesto Bee reported.

Individual memberships are $89 a month with a $59 start-up fee or $979 annually. However, the gym does offer discounts for students, teachers, seniors, first-responders, active or military and medical staff. There are also discounts for families.

For those who don’t want to commit to a membership, there are day passes and punch card availability at prices starting at $25 up to $250.

Levy said there is no opening date yet.
