The ‘largest holiday light festival’ returns to Sacramento this winter. See when and where
Sacramento’s Cal Expo will soon be adorned with bright festive light displays — made up of more than 5 million lights — with the return of Imaginarium.
The “largest holiday light festival” in the capital city is coming from Nov. 17 to Jan. 7, according to its website. This year, it’ll feature a daily circus, Santa, an ice skating rink and interactive games.
Light displays include a “Fairytale Garden” with 35,000 LED roses, “Enchanted Fantasyland Forests” with twinkling lights and colorful creatures and kaleidoscope “Infinity Mirrors.”
There will also be carnival rides and games, as well as food and drinks.

Imaginarium is at Cal Expo, 1600 Exposition Blvd.
When is it open?
The festival runs from Nov. 17 to Jan. 7.
It’s open from 5 to 10 p.m. on Wednesday to Thursday and 5 to 11 p.m. on Friday to Sunday.
Ticket prices
General admission tickets are available online now for a discount of $4 off the original ticket price.
Prices vary depending on the day.
For weekdays, original ticket prices for people 13 years old and up start at $25 plus an additional $3 service fee.
Kids 3 to 12 years old and seniors 62 and older enter $19. Military personnel are $23. You can also get a pack of four tickets for $84, but with the early bird discount, it’s $76.
On weekends, prices for people 13 years old and up start at $27, children and seniors are $21 and military personnel are $25. The family 4-pack is $92.
