Swift water rescuers pluck man from swollen El Dorado Hills creek after heavy rains

River rescue incident depicts emergency personnel in boats on water

Quick working fire crews plucked a man Monday from a rain-swollen Sweetwater Creek in El Dorado Hills.

Drenching rains that pounded El Dorado County overnight left the unidentified man stranded in the middle of the rapidly moving creek before dawn, El Dorado County fire officials said in a Facebook post.

Department swift water rescue, fire and medical crews were called to the creek to free the man from the rushing water.

El Dorado Hills is under a flood watch until 4 a.m. on Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service.
